I recently started using a red light mat by Fringe for chronic low back pain that I experience. I turn it on, lay on it right before I go to sleep. There is a 20 minute timer that will automatically shut off when it's done. After using this regularly for 2 weeks, I already notice a difference in my back. I have less tightness and overall aching. I do perform and utilize other tools to help this but recently this is the only thing I have changed. So my conclusion is that red light is another tool that we can utilize to help overall pain and inflammation.

What is red light therapy all about? I will condense what I have learned, but if you really what to know, check out Fringe and on their website they have a blog, research, and short educational videos that explain everything. https://fringeheals.com/ref/550/

Currently there are over 4,000 published research papers substantiating the healing power of light therapy for its potential to help a wide variety of health concerns – including female pelvic health conditions. As a safe treatment option, light therapy is used by medical professionals and studied by scientists for its ability to help with tissue rejuvenation, inflammation, pain management, and balancing of the microbiome. Red and Near Infrared Light therapy stimulates your body’s natural healing process at a cellular level through increased cellular energy production. Those energized cells in turn strengthen our body’s own healing capabilities through increasing blood flow and oxygen to our tissues for improved tissue regeneration and repair. Energized cells also increase collagen production for improved tissue tone, modulate inflammation, and help support a healthy internal microbiome.

While many companies claim to have over 100mW/cm2 of light intensity (too hot!), Fringe has engineered all their red light therapy products to deliver the sun-like light intensity of 20-40mW/cm2 for each session. They have committed to accurate and honest measurements. They test all of our red light therapy products to verify wavelengths and light intensity and then publish the data for you to look at.

Yes, you could order the cheap version on Amazon, but is it the correct light and frequency your tissues need to heal or it could be too much light (more is not always better)? Fringe is a company that has done a ton of research on what the best red light therapeutic benefits are. They even have had physical therapists and other medical providers weight in and test their products before use. Has your cheaper version done that? If you're going to purchase something to help, you might as well purchase something that will actually help.

I am also going to do some research on the pelvic wand they have created which I'm greatly curious as to how that may help my clients dealing with pelvic pain, etc.

I love gaining new tools, information, researching and everything that goes along with helping women heal and reclaim their life!

Thanks for coming along for the ride!
