
What do umbrellas and breathing have in common?
When I think of a good 360 breathing pattern, I think of an umbrella.
When you take a deep breath in, you should get expansion of your side ribs, a little chest, some belly and back, like an umbrella.
If you're just belly breathing when you take a deep breath in, that can be too much pressure into one area of the body.
1. Promote healing and tissue repair by increasing oxygen.
2. Improve pain
3. Regulate intra-abdominal pressure limiting our risk of hernias and hemorrhoids
4. Activate our parasympathetic nervous system and decrease our fight or flight stress hormones.
It's not easy to do and take practice!
